Whole Foods is a company that has gone out of its way to attempt to provide adequate healthcare for its employees. They are a company, headed by John Mackey, that has been able to come up with a successful system that puts their employees in charge of their own healthcare, and keep them off of the government's books. Now, I don't see how anyone could find this event as a failure, or to suggest that Whole Foods is doing a disservice to its employees. Simply because of the stigma that exists in our current culture, that views insurance companies and big business as the antithesis of healthcare reform, this company has come under fire for providing a service to its employees. The government doesn't have to be, nor should it be, the provider of everyone's healthcare. It will be the destruction of our economy, and will lessen the quality of healthcare found here and throughout the world.

This past week I attended a healthcare townhall hosted by Rep Ron Kind. The turnout was huge and the opinions were overwhemling against the proposed government run take of the healthcare system. One man nearly got a standing ovation when he stated he would do everything he could to see that Ron Kind is not relected. Here is a video of the highlights.
Just recently, I moved from La Crescent, Minnesota, to Onalaska, Wisconsin.I enjoy where I live now, but I must confess that city life is very different from the good ole country. However, that isn’t my intention of writing to you today.Ever since the move I have been trying to get a drivers license for the state of Wisconsin, since this is now where I live.My last visit to the DMV was my5thunsuccessful trip to the DMV, and this is just trying to get a driver’s license.I’m sure every one of you reading this has a similar story.I am so fed up with this that I feel like giving up and just not renewing my license. This brings me to why I write to you today. There is a thing called the REAL ID Act, and it will make circumstances like the one I explained to you much muchMUCH more frequent. So I would like you to answer a few questions before I continue.
1)Do you enjoy long lines?
2)Do you like filling out forms?
3)Do you want to pay more money to have permission to drive?
Before you ask me, I will say, “Yes, these are serious questions.”If you answered, “No” to all of these questions, then you should absolutely HATE the REAL ID Act, because it will do these 3 things:
1)It will cause longer lines at the DMV.
2)There will be much more paperwork. (info like retinal scans & finger prints will be necessary)
3)You will have to pay much more to be able to drive.
Doesn’t it sound odd.In America we have to pay in order to be able to drive, and if we don’t, we are penalized. If there is one thing I learned from my latest experience at the DMV, it is this.
“Although the laws are intended to punish the behavior of those who are breaking the laws, the results of these laws punish good law-abiding citizens while the law-breakers simply have one more law to break.”
¡THERE IS HOPE!
Wisconsin Representative Molepske has introduced a bill that would cause Wisconsin to Reject the REAL ID Act.The Bill is called LRB-1478: “Restrictions and limitations on implementation of the federal REAL ID Act.”In Wisconsin, the prices at the DMV are already extremely outrageous, but if this bill is not passed the prices would skyrocket.Call your State Representatives today and tell them: “I would like you to support LRB-1478 also called “Restrictions and limitations on implementation of the federal REAL ID Act.”

What you are looking at is a break down of the City of La Crosse's budget. If you add up all the expenses listed you will find that the city's budget equals over 66 Million Dollars! Thats right, the city of La Crosse finds ways to spend over $ 66 Million of the taxpayers money. Over $ 16 Mil is budgeted for "all other expenses." WHAT does "all other" include? The answer is nobody really knows. The residents of La Crosse are going to have to choose two finalist for Mayor tomorrow. Based on research done by the LaCrosseWatchdog we have concluded that Matt Harter is the best candidate in the field. He is has pledged to everything he can to lower property taxes. He has said that he believes the city government is spending to much money which is almost an understatement, but we of LaCrossewatchdog blog will gladly take that recognition. Please turnout and vote for Matt Harter on Tuesday!
There is a very powerful political tool that has been used throughout the past century in order to achieve certain goals called the Hegelian Dialect. It is even being used today in America in order to “change” government. Although this “change” is less of actual change and more of a slow march towards complete Socialism in America. Before you stop reading because I mentioned the word “socialism,” just hear me through and read the rest of this article.
The Hegelian Dialect, simply stated, is a process of achieving a desired goal by introducing a problem in order to sway the public into accepting a once unpopular idea. For example, in 1933 President Roosevelt implemented “The New Deal,” which was meant to boost the economy. This required a great deal of money, and the Gold Standard was still in effect in America. Since the country did not have a lot of the money that this “New Deal” would cost, it paved the way for Executive Order #6012, the confiscation of Gold. Prior to the Great Depression, no President would be able to authorize and Executive Order like this and do it with the support of the people. Once a problem, like the Great Depression, is introduced, it paved the way for such an act to be accepted by the population. This would all be accepted my most because “change” must happen to make everything better. The Great Depression created an atmosphere where our country’s entire economic system took a drastic face-lift. It was the first major introduction of a fiat money system to everyday life, and it was forced upon us.
Now, today we are faced with yet another economic crisis. I will not go into what could have been done to stop it or how we should fix it, only because I want to pass along what is probably in the minds of many of our leaders today. There is a great desire by world leaders and politicians to change the worldwide economic system into something much more traceable. Politicians are going to use the terrible economic crisis to do the same thing that FDR did in the 30’s. There is going to be a re-working of the monetary system sometime. In this world that is so determined to eliminate terrorism, you can bet they are going to make all money electronic. All your transactions won’t be done in paper, they will be done electronically. Just as FDR made gold illegal to own in the 30’s, some leader in the near future is going to make cash illegal to own. They will say, "After all, only terrorists and drug dealers need huge amounts of cash."
This is exactly what the Hegelian Dialect has brought about. Before 9/11 would anyone be willing to surrender their cash in order to let all of their transactions watched? NO! Would anyone be so willing to surrender some of their civil liberties in order to feel a little more secure? NO! Then, a crisis happened. Now, it seems that the public is much more embracing of the idea of sacrificing their civil liberties. Now, people are willing to be spied on by their government. You might think that is a bit of a stretch, but mark my words, “This WILL happen.” I also want to say that I do NOT support it or like it, and I will probably not participate in that economic system. It will be sold as making your life easier. It will be sold to the public as a means to get us out of this dangerous economic turmoil that we have gotten ourselves into. It will be sold a way of eliminating terrorism. This is what the governments of the world will try to do. When it happens, give me a call.
Although I don't own a functioning television, somehow I still felt America's sigh of relief a couple weeks ago when it was announced that Barack Obama would be our next president. This sigh of relief has implied that America understands the election of Obama to be a great achievement on behalf of the American people, an achievement that alone will bring change to a desperate nation in the wake of the least popular administration in history. This notion I must dare to question. At this point I must urge America to remain alert and cautious of the upcoming Obama administration. Recall that dictators such as Adolf Hitler have come to power throughout history with similar cult-like "savior" status, promising to bring change and order to a nation in shambles. With our crumbling economy, we are currently a vulnerable nation prone to such manipulation. Having chosen Obama as the best candidate to lead our country at this critical juncture in history, it is now the responsibility of Americans to always question the ways in which he will go about leading our nation. I am anxious to see what changes Obama has in store for our ailing economy because Obama's empty and incomprehensible rhetoric has left me in the dark as to what his ideas are. He speaks about improving the tax code, providing tax relief for small business owners, and fighting for fair trade regulations. Do Americans really anticipate that these vague ideas will reverse the decline of an economy which is already falsely reinforced by a $700 billion Wall Street bailout plan? It seems that economic discourse should begin at the very foundation of the economy by questioning the fractional reserve banking system implemented through the Federal Reserve and the debt-based money around which this system is structured. Economic decline in the form of an increasingly worthless dollar and impoverishment are mathematically structured into this system of money and, thus, inevitable as long as this system remains in place. Because no force currently controls our lives more than that of debt-based money, I suggest that Americans and president-elect Obama seek to address the perpetrator of our economic ailment rather than the symptoms. With that being said, I must say that I am skeptical that Obama is bold enough to question the role of the Federal Reserve or any other existing institution. After all, Senator Obama did vote for the $700 billion bailout plan that is being used to reinforce many Federal Reserve banks like JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Goldman Sachs, two banking corporations that happen to have been Obama's top campaign donors. With such history, it's astonishing that Obama is not understood as nothing but yet another smooth-talking puppet for the existing corporate power structure. Each passing day I see more signs of accumulating wealth, resources, and power within the financial and corporate sectors. Take a moment to reflect upon society. I think you will find that most every aspect of the human experience now exists as a profit-generating industry through which the financial and corporate sectors are feasting upon our freedom. Although it is common belief that we are free in America, it's undeniable that the one factor that always dictates the paths we may pursue in life is money. I would not dare to label as "free" a society revolving around such a factor, especially when that factor is manipulated by a central bank like the Federal Reserve. As long as social exchange continues to be mediated by money structured by the Federal Reserve, we are all living and working to pay off debt which we had no role in incurring. No wonder society is so twisted and generally unhappy. Question and confront the factors that govern your life, humanity, and force president-elect Obama and his administration to do so as well.
